On this episode, Eric begins his story in college and being unsure of what he wanted to do with his life. At the age of twenty, he moved from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Sarasota, Florida, to pursue a career in the restaurant industry. After exhausting his avenues in the restaurant business by the age of 27, Eric found himself on the radio as a sports commentator. While working on AM sports radio, he found his purpose in life. On this episode, David begins his story at the age of 13 when his aunt gifted him with a large stack of comic books. David soon realized that he was different from his peers in that he was illiterate-- reading on the third-grade level. David struggled through teaching himself how to read and began to write self-produced comic books. Since then, he has started his own company producing comics, novels, anthologies, as well as film and TV scripts. He eventually began producing podcasts in several genres. When his wife passed away, he struggled with continuing moving forward. Then over a short period, he began to put on excessive weight. Now he spends more time with his children as well as working out to get a handle on his weight issue. He is now involved in the film industry and has a new movie coming out soon.

He searched for avenues to fill his time in some meaningful way. What he turned to was what he knew best--wilderness and survival training. He found he enjoyed teaching young people these skills, and he has focused on that aspect of his life ever since.
